Christmas List (!)

Confession time. One of my favorite pre-Christmas rituals is stalking every blog known to mankind in search of the ultimate gift guide. The time I waste peeking into other people’s virtual shopping bags from mid-November until December 25th is downright embarrassing but I CANNOT STOP. It’s a compulsive addiction, which is why I’m about to unload my own holiday cart right onto your computer screen (because believing you do it too makes me feel a little better about myself). Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

This year, on the heels of a new sleigh purchase, Santa is following the “want, need, wear, read” rule (plus he has no interest in adding toys to an already overstocked toy room), so here’s the yuletide breakdown.

1 // ironing board (want)

2 // lunchbox (need)

3 // winter boots (wear) | Old Navy | out of stock

4 // Good People Everywhere (read)

5 // purse (stocking stuffer)

1 // microphone (want)

2 // bike (need)

3 // gingham dress (wear)

4 // Molly, by Golly! (read)

5 // Peppa Pig figurines (stocking stuffer)

So there you have it – a little peek at what will be waiting under our tree Christmas morning! Adult gifts will remain under wraps (pun totally intended) until the big day.

And lastly, in light of the recent two-month hiatus, a quick three-take update:

1 // Geoff’s went and done it again – converted my precious little baby into a full blown daddy’s girl. Thank goodness for the canine infant, whose maternal loyalties remain steadfast.

2 // Savannah’s started reading! We’ve been practicing every night with the Frog & Toad series, and she literally squeals with excitement every time she figures out a word. Chip off the old block, that one.

3 // I caved to Elf on the Shelf. Trixie will be arriving tonight, so prayers are appreciated.
